Vehicle Emissions & Compliance Policy

MG Tuning LLC

1. Purpose

This policy outlines emissions-related responsibilities, limitations, and compliance standards associated with calibration, tuning, and software services provided by MG Tuning LLC (“MG Tuning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. Customer Responsibility

The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that their vehicle complies with all applicable local, state, provincial, and federal emissions regulations.

3. Street Use vs. Off-Road / Competition Use

Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing by MG Tuning LLC, tuning services are not guaranteed to be emissions-compliant in every jurisdiction.

4. Emissions Diagnostics, ECU Integrity & Legal Compliance

MG Tuning LLC maintains a strict compliance policy regarding emissions diagnostics and onboard vehicle systems:

  • We do not disable, delete, suppress, mask, or manipulate emissions-related diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)
  • We do not alter OBD readiness monitors for the purpose of passing emissions inspections
  • We do not defeat, bypass, or manipulate onboard diagnostic systems to evade emissions enforcement
  • We do not provide calibrations intended to circumvent emissions laws or inspection requirements

All tuning services are designed to preserve the normal operation of the vehicle’s onboard diagnostic and fault-reporting systems, except where lawful and clearly documented.

5. Emissions Control Equipment

Customers acknowledge that removal or modification of emissions-related hardware may result in fault codes, reduced performance, or legal noncompliance. MG Tuning LLC assumes no responsibility for emissions hardware changes performed outside of factory specifications.

6. Emissions Testing & Readiness Monitors

MG Tuning LLC does not guarantee that any tuned vehicle will pass emissions inspections or testing of any kind.

7. No Legal Advice

No information provided by MG Tuning LLC constitutes legal advice regarding emissions compliance.

8. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

MG Tuning LLC shall not be liable for penalties, enforcement actions, or inspection failures related to emissions compliance.

9. Acceptance of Policy

By purchasing or using MG Tuning LLC services, the customer agrees to this Vehicle Emissions & Compliance Policy.
